My driveway! I live 40 miles west of KC and we are getting pounded with ice. Weather guessers are guessing 1 - 1 1/2 inches tonight and 2-3 inches of snow tomorrow.

Got the generator set up, plenty of food and fuel and already called in "sick" to work.

Bought chains in December and just pulled 'em off last Saturday. How stupid do I feel?

Take care gentlemen,

Dug

Here in Western Pa., the snow is coming down as rain, and lots of it. WM says we'll only get rain, and ice 30 miles further north, then snow north of I-80! And i have 5 sno-throwers here! My cousin bought one from a friend of mine--said he wanted to keep the snow away for another 2 months! Only trouble, the cricks are rising, Granny is getting antsy about high water, and folks are moving the furniture into the attic! But, i live on top of the highest hill around Pittsburgh, so if the water gets to me, the rest of you folks had better know how to tread water! by: rustyj

We got 6-8 inches last night here in Omaha. Gonna get another 6-8 in the next 12 hours. Sure would be nice to spread it out a little better.

Sounds like what we got the week before Christmas in the Ohio Valley. Good thing it is not cold enough here we have had at least 2 inches of rain in the last 36 hours. Chicago and further North are going to get it. We have neighbors who didn"t have power for two weeks! Good luck, we have seen alot of structures and trees break down under that load of ice.

I live in Wichester Ky. and go to the Waffle House every morning for coffee and to read the paper. At 5:15 this morning, two electrical repair crews from Ky. Utilities stop for breadfast and are heading to K C to help with down electric lines..... .Good luck to you guys..... E. Ray

No kidding. I woke up early to see if my district was closing, and they were still open. I thought they were crazy, because it is only supposed to get worse. About seven my mom told me they finally cancelled. Probably from the freezing rain. I hear it outside every now and then.

I'm two hours north west of KC, and made a trip to KCI this afternoon to pickup our son. Drove on lots of ice coming home. WE've had ice since yesterday, and much more today. Trees touching the ground. Supposed to maybe get up to 6 inchs of snow to top it off. Might have to mount the tractor chains two years in a row! Don

I'm two hours north of KC, and it's icy here too.
No school today, or tomorrow.

Sounds like you boys up north are gonna get a bellyful of snow after the ice moves through. We are only forecasted for a couple inches, the weather guessers are saying 6 plus inches in Nebraska. Good luck and be safe.

Grand Rapids, Mi. Area. Light dusting of snow and about 30 degrees. Projected another couple of inches tonight. Beats the heck out of other winters.

Jerry, Don't take your blade and chains off yet - Craig James says another 6 or so inches before tomorrow's done!
