I have a 154 model that had a leaking carburetor so I rebuilt it. After the leak persisted I rechecked the float setting which was correct. It still leaked out of the bottom. I just installed a new Zenith carburetor and I still have gas dripping out of the bottom and the motor won't start probably because it's too rich. What do I do now?

Marte,

This is not a permanent solution, but is very effective in eliminating leaking carbs. When you are ready to shut down the engine just close the needle valve on the sediment bowl, while the engine is still running. The engine will stop after a very short time. This technique can be used until you solve the problem. Also, check the bowl gasket to insure it is not interfering with the float.

IF THE NEW CARB IS LEAKING ,MAYBE YOU HAVE SOME RUST IN THE GAS TANK GETTING IN THE INLET NEEDLE LETTING IT FLOOD OVER. LUCASS
