Are those new New Holland tractors as big a piece of junk as everbodys claiming, I know somethings going on there are way too many very late model New Hollands sitting on the John Deere dealers lot, not just here but every place I go. I see our local newspaper even has one listed under it's classified ads, pretty odd to see that late of a model advertised here.

I have had a TN75S for a year and a half. I love using it, Only problem was that the fuel tank fell off after 4 hours, but they had a loner on site the next day. The dealer had gotten this unite from another dealer, the first dealer may have not done a complete PDI. It also came with a cab, here in Alberta the enclosure with the heat is great also the ac is great in the summer. Looking for a smaller unit to use to rake hay. No regrets on this purchase. By the way some of the models are interchangable Case IH, my nephew works for a Case IH dealers ship and looked my unit over and told me what my unit was compatable with in the Case IH line. Parts for both come in CNH labeld boxes.

As far as nearly new NH and Case tractors sitting on Deere lots. Deere is giving tremendous trade in allowances to trade them in. So much so that a friend bought a new Case 400 hp
4 wheel drive put about 100 hrs on it just so he could trade it in on his new Deere 400 hp 4 wheeler. The trade in was that good.

I don't know, I've heard some bad things about New Hollands here and there just like you have, but I've heard it's just certain models (dunno which ones though) and everybody knows the more electronic things on a tractor, the more to go wrong. I have seen quite a few of the big Case IH MX series in front of the repair garage at the local dealership, but then again most of the people that have those MX series around here really pound on those tractors and those are most likely the ones I'm seeing, I often hear stories from the guy who works in the Case IH garage of these big mega farmers buying a brand new rig, and immediatly bringing it back to them and ask for them to hotrod it, so they can pull it at the local field days and run faster than their neighbors, obviously it will void their warranty, but most of them don't care as they like to show off, and then they take it to a pull, throw on huge weight racks front and rear and go way over the manufacturers suggested maximum weight limit by atleast 10,000lbs, and pull it as hard as it possibly can with modified engines with duels front and rear and so far I haven't seen one of those tractors break, now thats really saying something!. Why I'm seeing 2-3 of those MX series there in front of the garage all the time, I really don't know, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's probably due to little electronic failures as all those new big tractors are all computerized and those are going to be a major PITA to keep repaired as the tractor gets older. Around here, Case IH is the top dog, and sells more than any other brand. People do get mighty angry when one of those electronic malfunctions occur and some would then get rid of the tractor and buy another brand thinking they are better off, I wouldn't think too much of it if New Holland outsells the other brands in your area, then it would make more sense why there would be more used.

Havent seen that here. Only problem with them I've heard of is one guy up the road who has a TN that the paint came off the hood. Other than that seem like good stuff to me. I was just by the Deere dealer and he doesnt have a blue tractor on his used lot (4 IH's and a MF is it besides JD). I have seen a lot more new JD and AGCO line units selling new than NH's but NH is ruling the slightly used market, at least here, lots of 1 and 2 year olds coming off highway mowing leases.

The New Holland Dealer in our area is exceptional. He has a quality staff that know their product. Lots of parts, and inventory, always there late, weekends, during busy seasons, and fairly easy to trade with.

NH is busy comingling lines & dealerships & getting yet another set of parts numbers & all that put together. at the same time the parent company in Europe is having big troubles with their auto line, and have decised to put money & time into saving that, while putting the ag line on auto-pilot.

The resources are not going into making happy customers at this time. The hardware itself isn't bad at all.

As I see it.

Have not heard of people bashing the New Holland's.
Are you talking about a specific model or all NH in general ?
My brother has one and loves it.

sammy, These are TN & TS series tractors, I think they have one of the best compact tractors made.

TN tractors are the class of the industry. Deere hasn't had a decent tractor in this class since they quit making the '55's. This is YESTERDAY's TRACTORS, not the bashing board. If you have specific questions about specific models, fine, ask them. Don't start the crap here that goes on elsewhere.
