What should I put in the Hydralic fluid so it works better in the winter? I"ve drained out as much as possible.

What does your owners manual say re: hydraulic oil for cold weather operation? You can't go wrong following that.

Re: Synthetic for Hydralics? in reply to PatrickK, 12-24-2004 08:58:41
Can a Synthetic oil work in a hydraulic system? How about using a dipstick heater in your hydraulic tank?

Its just like every thing else in the winter you need to let it warm up a little before you use them. Same as you should do with an engine weather it be tractor, truck, or car they sould all be warmed a little before just takeing off with them.

John Deere sells a thinner hydraulic fluid; I can't remember what it is called for sure. Lo-Vis I think.
