K, send me an email. I unblocked mine. I'll forward you everything I have here. I sent a bunch of emails to another guy on this board and he installed the alternator and got everything working. I'll forward all the emails I sent to Russel. They list part numbers and wiring diagrams. If you go 12 volt you want to go negative ground.

Insite to the differences in alternators, maybe this will give you insight to how you want to change yours over. Go to "One wire compared to three-wire alternators

Look at the wiring diagrams, but don't buy any of his alternators at the prices he wants- its over triple what they're worth. Go to the link below to get the straight scoop.

I changed my M over for real cheap. I think the Alternator was $54.00 plus an old core. Then you need a resistor to bring the 12 volts down to 6 for your coil, or change the coil to 12 volt. Do you have lights? Those will need to be changed out to 12 volt bulbs. With the new 1 wire alternators there is no voltage regulator, it's built into the alt. If your interested let me know, I'll get you all the info. The type of alternator and wiring. Mine worked out real good.
