Is this tractor big enough for a NH 315 baler, NH 489 haybine?

Plenty adequate. It is basically a bullet proof machine if maintained well and used sensibably.
It along with the 3000,and 4000 are some of the best Ford ever produced. Hard to find a good one that someone is willing to give up.
Good Luck,
Merry Christmas

Easy, those 5000s were prety gutsy, there were several here in southwest MO that had a M&W turbo kit installed, those little devils were about half mean then.

If your tractor is running half decent it won't even know that thing is back there. I use a 315 with an 8 bale accumulator with a 52 hp tractor in 3rd gear unless the hay is to heavy for the baler to handle. PLEASE refer to and read the 315 operators manual before starting it will save you a lot of grief. Good luck..... .....

I run a NH 316 with thrower and a NH 379 Haybine, pull a 4 furrow 14" plow ,12' disc and 12' cultimulcher with my 5000 , no problem.
