I have restored a tractor. The hood has buffed out very well, but the body? It has good paint but it is cast and the polish will not work on the castings and such as well as on the hood, it has a rough finish. What can I use to bring back the color? I dont want it to shine, but just to bring out the color more.(I know if I use oil it will deepin the color but you know that isnt the thing to do) Just to good of a paint job to repaint. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

In the previous post I failed to caution against getting this solution upon electrical components or aluminum trim. You may want to work first on the transmission or differential to see how satisfied you may be.The solution should remove every bit of old oxidation and leave a clean shiny surface if the underlying paint is basicly good

Duffy ;Get some Ospho and wash it down with a three to one acid water mix. Let sit about 30 minutes an then fresh water rinse. If you can brush it on so much the better. It should make the old paint Shine.
