Hey good folks....just wanted to let you all know that Dillon has the bars removed from his leg, had it casted, cast is now off and he is in a walking boot. He doesnt have the prosthesis made yet, but was told with his leg and crutches, he would be walking after the first of the year.Being an only child, he was a little spoiled.....HA! He is really spoiled now....but you know what? This little guy deserves all of it. Just thought ya"ll might want to know how he is doing.Thanx

Hey Charlie! Great to hear of the progress. I have not been able to find what I was looking for for Dillon, so I am working on some other things. He is in my family's prayers every night at dinner...my five year old asks about him all the time and wants to invite him over to play....he doesn't understand that Dillon lives an awful long way from Clymer NY. Give the little bugger a big high five for us and remind him that we are all pulling for him. God bless, and Happy Holidays!

Hi Charlie,

Glad to see Dillon is doing so well.

Word to the wise on the western walking boot. Wearing one for too long will cause the ankle to no longer bend and freeze at 90º. The tennions run thru a sheath of tissue and both will grow together after time from no excercise.

I was in one for 7mths and it took another 3mths to pop the tennions loose where my ankle would bend past 90º, then another couple years before any range of motion was restored.

The orthopedic Doc never said a word about this little known problem when he first fit me for the boot.

Hi guys. I just found this post and researched the previous ones about Dillon. Terribly sorry to hear about what happened to Dillon, but thrilled that he's recovering so well.

James said, "The effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much." I'll add him to my prayers, too, like so many of you have.
