Just tell th emrs. who's in charge there. If you want another tractor, by GOD, you'll get another tractor....

Then start packin' yer duds.....LOL!

I'm on vacation this week. Painting a couple tractors. (The colors of a REAL tractor by the way....GREEN and YELLOW)

I'll shoot you a photo of the completed project tomorrow. (Gotta install the fenders and put all the decals on yet)

I'm doing the 2440 now, and the 4020 is next on the agenda.

Gotta go scrub green paint outta the mustache....John

You're absolutely right! The real early CASE tractors were painted green with red wheels. Thanks for payin' respects to Old Abe!

Ya know THAT! I never have figured out why they're so loud, but they will make your head split! I wear stereo headphones when running it.

It's loud enough that I've had several people comment on it over the last couple years....John

My 2440 does not make one deaf! It has the rear exhaust, however, and It looks like it's a larger muffler than the upright one! It is akso an warly 2440, IE, Dubuque built instead of Mannheim, if that makes a difference!

Mine's a Dubuque 2440 too. (1978) still louder than my 4020, 4440, or 4955. I've got an old Massey Ferguson 50 that you have to look at the guages to see if it's even running it's so quiet. (gas) John

Youll have to forgive me, I married into a Deere family and I get "jacked" all the time on my red machines. Its a somewhat friendly feud (Im out numbered) between me and my father-in-law (Elkhorn Denny on the post). The one thing Im impressed with is the service of the local Deere dealer. Wow, does that guy give service. If one of his machines goes down during field work, that thing is fixed right away or other arrangements are made to keep you going. Although you pay for it too. It nice when you a worry wart like me.

Had similar family problems on Thanksgiving day. Seemed 2 Texas rivals, A&M and namesake U had a football game every turkey day for as long as I could remember (no more). Dad and my wife's family were maroon and white (ag colors) while I was orange and white (namesake). Popcorn all over the TV room.
