People say that this tractor has 3 remotes, 5, or 6 and so on. What do they mean by this? Is it the individual outlet itself or the 2 outlets together? Liked to know.

Hi David,

This is one of my tractors equipped with 2 remotes. The bottom port on each remote is the 'lift' and the upper is the 'lower'.

I've seen tractors with as many as 6 remotes hangin' off the back like this.

Hydraulics!!! A pair of hose ports working together is one remote outlet. Now for loaders and some other applications a supply line will be tapped to run to a remote set of hydraulic controls. That's another whole kettle of fish. The return line will be running right back to the pump suction via the filter housing etc. Some old timers have just on hose connection and use gravity drop. That's still considered a remote outlet.

Each remote is one valve and usualy two hose connections(quick couplers). It can be a single acting remote, then would only have one hose, but that is very rare.
