Got an IH 3414 TLB that had a dash fire, am in the process of replacing the hoses beside the dash that are burnt. They appear to be 5/8" fittings... The threads are .870 OD, but the ID of the fitting itself is .465...Are they really 5/8 or 1/2" hoses??..I thought 5/8" stuff was obsolete?.Got an IH number off one of the fittings IH 380 025 R91...Don't know if anybody has an IH parts book handy..Haven't gotten a parts or service manual for the 3414 TLB in yet...

If you have a tough time coming up with the 5/8", it seems to me 1/2" would likely be just fine, especially since it sounds like the hoses are probably short.

Looks like 5/8" hose to me. The fittings should be 7/8-14. You said the ID of the fitting is .465,if it was 1/2", the walls of the hose would be something less than .017. There's lots of 5/8" hose in use today. All hose manufacturer's still make it.
