There a couple of them coming up for auction Saturday, they both look to be reasonably complete but obviously have not run for quite some time. Is there any one looking for these?

Hey Rusty, are these the ones that came out in the early '60s; neighbor bought one; biggest #$%#$#% you've ever seen; I think Ford recalled (and replaced) every single one of the early ones..... .

The 000 was rushed into production w/o adequate testing of any of it's systems. It was a massive failure ans supposedly ALL the originals were replaced with a newer"debugged" tractor, improved where needed, none escaping the cull. The replacement 6000s were strong working tractors, however SelectoShift models were still prone to problems because of the amount of torque/hp and lack of routine servicing by owners.I know of 1-6000 gear drive and one SoS still working in my area, but we had a true"Ford" shop(1946-2003)who serviced them as needed until CNH turned them out.

last I knew they were collectable. My dad and I had one back in the late 70s with M&W turbo. We could fill a 16X60 silo on one tank of fuel and you couldn't run the wagon fast enough to slug it. What a power unit! whis I had it back!
