Hi. I am cleaning up so I can get my pickup in the garage for the winter. I came acrost two new WIX oil filters made for the 1941 AC HD14 and HD7 crawlers. I was wondering if I should put them on the auction, and if I did should I list them for the AC HD14 or for the Detroit Diessel 6-71, 3-71 or would ebay be better, or go to a Marine engine site. The new number for the fillters seems to be WIX 551005, or AC 25010495 or Marine BB# 87899, or should I just throw them out?
What would we be talking, a buck if I could find someone that had a use?

Let me thank you now for any responce or help you can give me. Harold

I don't believe WIX 515005 is a current WIX number. They show # 51500 and 51503 as bypass lube oil filters for a 6-71.

The AC number you give crosses to a WIX #51970.

The 51500 is a "cartridge, lube, metal cannister"

The 51503 is a "cartridge, lube, pleated paper"

The 51970 is a "Spin-on lube"

My "Fleet price" at the local Wix dealer is $8.82 for the first 2 numbers, and $18.34 for the #51970.

Hi Bob

Your information is correct, and I am glad you got back to me.
The cross to AC 25010495 and 87899 and WIX 51970 is wrong.

The only two numbers I know are correct now are WIX 51005 and 551005

And the only two crawlers in the world that I know they will fit are the HD14 and HD7

So I don't think there is much market for them.
Harold
