Check with your local Deere dealer, last one I worked for had decent prices on tire chains.

"Tirechains.com" (plural) is the company; "www.tirechain.com" (singular) is the URL. Good selection, good service. I've got a set of the "Duo-Grip" chains for my Ford 4000. Very satisfied.

I have a 1550, and I got chains for it 2 years ago. They cost me $500, but they're well worth it. They're the double round link chains, and they work great. I never get stuck in snow anymore. I leave them on year round, they give you great traction in mud, too.

I've been using ones I bought from tirechains.com for several years. They were by far the best price I could find and are good quality. All American made at the time I bought mine.

Bought a set of double ring chains for my 706 last winter from tirechains.com. They are made in china but seem to be of good quality. Time will tell if they last 30 years like my last set did.

I just ordered a set from www.tirechain.com

Cost me $307 for a set of crossed rungs to fit a 11.2x38. They ship to your door for $35 (the $307 includes this price).

I found out the hard way last year that the straight type just don't work with new tires.

Allan, what in the world are tire chains? I use chains but I hook them to my drawbar. It looks to me like hooking them to your tires could be mighty dangerous, Harley
