Harley, Ben couldn"t be "The real Ron" on his worst day. Ron was a one of a kind individual who could outdo Howard Cossell on HIS best day. Not often a human being with those assets or liabilities come along. There was only one Babe Ruth, only one Vince Lombardi, one Muhammad Ali, one Albert Einstein, One Mahatma Ghandi, one Abe Lincoln, and thankfully, only one "The Real Ron" Sorry, but Ben just doesn"t match up.

Allen,

I think that having a political discussion is a great idea, quite novel in fact.

Kind of breaks the monotony of all this talk about "tractors" and "OT" and other subjects that are just too contriversial.

Hey Allan,

I think the political posts are great. While I enjoy the "tractor" aspect of the forum, there's more to life than tractors, (shame on me for uttering such blasphemy!)

I have developed a great amount of respect for many of the regulars on this forum and am interested in their views on areas outside of tractors. About a year ago someone posted a topic about "What's your background?" It was interesting to see the varied background of the folks.

We only have a few weeks left, lets keep the political battle going, then we can all kiss and make up and get back to tractors.

Dug

RN, All anyone has to do to find out the primary source for "Anyone but Bush" is to go to CPUSA.org. In so doing, they indirectly endorse Sen. Kerry. I"ve checked Burrhead"s "credible sources", most are no more than propoganda peddlers.

Allan, I think its just AWFUL, or is that AWESOME? I guess I don"t mind as it gets my mind off the tractors, combines, planters, trucks, and everything else that kick my proverbial butt on a daily basis. Not complaining, but some days bruise the knuckles more than others.

Allen, Yes, it is a good idea! It's abundantly obvious that lots of folks suffer from CRS, (cant' remember nothing) and lots of other folks don't forget anything. This gives these two groups ample opportunity to get it out in the open and learn something. We like tractors because they teach us a lot about life and living. These posts are an important part of that experiance. How can we be bold about questions relating to our equipment, if we are bashful about other issues that profoundly affect our lives?! To that end; my NH 66 baler makes perfect hay, but bangs like an old drum, and I don't know why. Senator Kerry has zero integrity and President Bush has paid his dues and proven himself the better man. Jared

I work with a guy exactly like you. We call him "Maytag" because he just loves to agitate everyone :-) If he's not in a huge Discussion about something or other, he's not happy. If things are going too well in one of these Discussions, he'll just up and do a 180 just to mix it up.

We're always going back and forth. I'm beginning to think that I'm his favorite "customer". I wonder if it isn't my willingness to speak my mind about anyone, any event or any idea...even when I should just shut my mouth.

Guess I should shut my mouth more.
