jd plow question

i have always thought the lever on a jd plow was to adjust the draft. hillside hitch ive always called it. someone said the lever would adjust the depth and cant figure out how they come up with that?

Depends on how many levers you have. If they are hydraulic lift there will be only one lever and it helps to level the plows when the furrow wheel doesn't have a furrow to follow like your first time across the field. It will get your front bottom into the soil properly. If its a mechanical lift you have a second lever that controls depth.
