I am going to install an electric fuel gauge in a 1947 2N. There is a flat area on the top of the tank to the left of the filler neck, which looks like a good place to mount the sending unit. Looking into the tank through the filler, there is a vertical baffle running left to right and another running front to back. I want to know whether the left to right baffle goes all the way across the tank, or just in the right half. If it does, it may interfere with the sender float. Has anyone either put a sender in the 2N tank, or has cut a tank apart and knows where the baffles are?

John..... ..gas gauge already been invented for your 2N's gastank. Works great, no 'lectricity or worrying about baffels. $23 (cheap)..... ....Dell

Dell,
Thanks for your reply. I've seen those gauges, but I decided I wanted an electric one. I use the tractor only for plowing snow and it has a heated cab. Don't want to get out in the cold in my T-shirt. I'm sure I'll find out where the baffles are when I cut into the tank. John
