Hi Fellas,

Kenny over here in Colorado is right.

I let my hatred, my stupidity and my big mouth spill over into my ‘over posting’ ways here on this site.

To those of you who I’ve offended, I truly apologize for what I said and for having my brain tucked firmly into my rearward-most trousers pocket. You guys sure didn’t need to be exposed to this sort of ignorance.

Darn! I feel low right now!

Allan

Hi Allan- (I spelled your name right this time!)

No need to apologize; you've done nothing wrong or said anything offensive; some of these complainers just can't take it when they hear the truth. Hence, the outcry against certain posts. Keep your input coming and have a good weekend.

Time to go load the Ford 2N; I'm running a local "Antiques Only!" tractor pull this weekend. No modified or enhanced engines allowed. Just your grandfather's tractor against my grandfather's tractor and lets' have fun!! And by the way, in it's class, my 2N is a spunky little devil and a real good puller! Will take the 53 Super C and the 48 JD A too.

Notice how I included some "tractor stuff" while while lauding your many "OT" posts. Nevertheless, some of our thin-skinned bretheren will still probably get their knickers in a knot.

Have a good weekend.

Watcha talkin' bout Allan? in reply to Allan in NE, 10-08-2004 09:38:56
You're one of the calmer heads. Now if you're feelin' lower than a sows ear in mud on a hot day, then I'm certainly in trouble. Hmm? Maybe I oughta just walk myself out to the shed and give me a good whippin right now. But would be nice to know what I'd be whippin myself for just the same. Family already thinks I'm nuts. They've been sayin that I'm psychotic for years, and I always thought that they meant how I can read minds and foresee the future - guess that's psychicotic.

Hope you feel better Allan. I know that I will, right after the welts go down for whippin' myself for general purposes.

Hi ya Mark,

Two guys on here a throwin' rocks, screamin', gougin' and a kickin' at each other is one thing; heck, guess we all do that from time to time and don't think anything about it.

But this one is different.

I was tryin' to be funny and my offhanded use of the cheap mental imagery offended Kenny and some others and I can't blame them one little bit.

I should have enough thought processing power at my disposal to be able to get a point across without having to stoop down into the manure trough to do it.

Allan

Mornin' Mark,

Boy, I hear ya there.

That's the trouble with this "Cyber Space" thing. A fellow has to be real careful about using "dry" humor. The reader can't see the slow smile or the twinkle of the eye and will oftentimes take it wrong.

I don't know what happened to that fella. Indy John seems to think that Mama has blocked his IP address or his processor ID when he actually called T-Bone a liar. Don't know for sure.

Gotta admit tho, he kept it lively around here; he just didn't have any "people skills" is all. :>)

Have a good one,

Allan

Heck Allan, it happens to all of us. It takes a real man to realize when he did wrong (if he did, I generally ignore the political postings and have no idea who your candidate is or what you said about him or the other candidate) and a real, big man to admit it publically. Thanks for setting a good example for all of us.

Well, I went back over the post and didn't see anything that should upset anyone. I guess my skin is to thick. And Ken, I did notice that you got in a little jab on my President in your last post. and you didn't upset ME I promise. I will do anything to help anyone on the board if within my power, no matter which side of the fence their on.

Allan,I still consider you a nice guy and my friend. But look at it this way..How would you like it if you neibour put up a sign (or maybe a picture of Kerry, (since you dislike him so much) right in front of your house where you had to look at it every time you looked out the window. Yes he would have the right, but darn, it would kind of bug you after a bit. Like they tell me, "don't look at it", but it would still be there. If this were a political board, it is tractors you know, I would tell you what I think of that dumb lier we have. That is what I am trying not to do. Remember about 50 percent of the people do not think as you do. Pretty soon they will consider it is their duty to answer here and we would be a real free for all. That is my point, not who said or did what, but to discuss things that will not tear us all apart.

Ken, this is Allen from Missouri, and if you DID put up a Kerry poster in front of My house, I would just use it for target practice, and protect your right to your opinion as I would hope you would protect mine. Fair is fair. BUT if you put up a poster of Kerry's wife, well we would have to meet in the middle of the road and have a few rounds. That is one butt ugly woman. Not being mean here, I think she has to know it. Just an observation, Harley

Allan,
Keep one thing in mind, as you said your YT friends. That is what a friend is, it is someone you can get something off your chest, they will listen, then they still are your friend, unconditionally. I do not agree with everything you post, but that is the way life is.If someone gets offened by what you are posting, then I reckon they were not much of a friend to start with, and they need to just move on down the road. You stay just the way you is, I know I am not offended by anything you say. Now if you go RealRon on me, then the gloves are off :>). These forums kinda remind me of the local elevator when I was growing up, every body was there, discussed politics, farmin', family, whatever. We might not like the someones point of view, and might get upset, but we was all back the next day for another round. so don't feel bad.

Not really sure what kind of friends you're talking about. You never invite me and the missus over for supper, you never call to wish me happy birthday, you never even call just to chat on Bob Devaney's (or Tom Osbourne's) birthday; what kind of friend is that?

Hey Allen even the best of us (and you are one of them) has bouts of temporary insanity wherein we let the lid off our brain for a couple minutes. Best thing you can do is learn from it but never be afraid to state your opinion. That is what makes this country great.
