Just wondered if anyone has replaced 2nd gear on a 1954 Ford NAA (Jubilee) and if so what kind of job was it? I don"t want to pay $1000 to have it done at a service shop and I think I could manage the job with the proper reference material. So, I am looking for some good reference material for this job and others that may come along? Any advice?

The gears in that tranny are interchangeable with many years Fords from late 8Ns through some thousand series.

This site sells shop manuals... look near the top of the LH sidebar.

If you have a TSC store nearby, they often carry them, or look on ebay for one at a bargain price!

I getting into the tranny is not too tough, as long as your set up to safely split the tractor.
