HOW DO YOU GET THESE DANG GREASE GUNS TO WORK??? Loaded a new tube and had the stuff spurting out, then stopping, then going, grease everywhere, except in the zerks. Somebody tell me the trick to loading a grease gun so I can get the tractor greased tomorrow.

Thanks,

Dug

Leland, How much blood should come out of the bleeder? More or less than what you could get out of a turnip?

Leland, If you only knew..... ..Gawd, your chain is easy to pull. I would think it would take a pretty big wrench to torque your jaws, but I can do it with the screwdriver no bigger than the one I use to tighten my glasses.

Leland, I have noticed the manner in which you "dispose" of people. I notice in one post where you Like the idea of "disposing" the unborn. I notice another post where you "dispose" the amish. Oh thats right, you didnt exactly dispose them, you simply suggested that they marry their sisters. As to your comment questioning my brightness, you continually proove my point that when some folks, you included, run out of reason and can no longer defend your point of view, you resort to name calling. This you have done to me several times. Obviously you can"t compete with me intellectually, so you choose to do the only thing you are capable of and that is resort to name calling. Thanks for revealing your intellectual inferiority. Oh, by the way, try lightening up a bit. You might live longer.

No you missed my point I used to work on death row for the state. And thats how I have disposed of smarter people than you. With a needle it does not take long to make the world a better and safer place, but to bad they rotate you out of this it was nice to send scum on there way to the great beyond and now whats your problem paul what are you going to do now make another childish post so you can feel intellectully superior like the one about bleeding grease guns. like I said don't you wish you knew half as much as you think I do?

Leland, Lets see if I understand what you just said. If I wished I knew half as much as I think you do, and I thought you were a half-wit, I would have to be willing to reduce my IQ by at least 75%. No, Leland, I think I"ll pass on that. It may be an up grade for you, however. What amazes me though, is how someone can take a lighthearted statement said in jest and become so disjointed as you have done in regards to the bleeding of the grease gun. Everyone in the entire universe, except the densest of the dense would recognize it as a statement meant in good humor. Now get over it for goodness sake before you have a stroke.

Dug,

Ya gots to get that air out of the gun first.

The way you do that is, after you have the gun tube loaded and tightened, pull that plunger rod back out again and turn it 90 degrees or so.

The lugs on the rod will catch the piston inside the pump and let you put pressure on that grease piston forcing it forwards. At that point, pump the handle a few times until you get a steady run of grease.

I usually just put that plunger rod up against my belt buckle, pull back on the gun body to create the pressure and give it a few throws til the air is all forced out.

Hope this makes sense,

Allan

Allan, you just got me in a whole lot of doo doo. You see I wear bibs out in the field, shop, doing chores, etc., so when I brought the grease gun into the back bedroom and opened the top dresser drawer to put the plunger against my belt buckle, which is where I keep my go-to meetin duds, the little missus come pretty much unglued. No I gotta sleep on the couch again tonight. And that pretty much shoots the hfll out of October for me. Oh well "Correct interpretation" priceless, huh, Harley
