Mornin’ All,

On this very forum, I recently had a friendly young fellow question my somewhat lackluster educational background and very cleverly and ever so diplomatically questions in between the lines whether or not I have the proper education and necessary backgrounding qualifications to be posting my opinions and somewhat, at times, questionable remarks on this very prestigious site.

I would like to take this opportunity to assure all who visit here that yes, I indeed do have the lofty “paper” that I would presume that this gentleman so aptly refers to.

The ‘paper’. Yes, no doubt about it friends and neighbors, I positively do have the “paper” and indeed, have had it for a quite a number of years now.

And further, as not to imply any confusion whatsoever, I keep it neatly tucked into the front of my hatband where it can be readily and easily referenced from time to time as is so required in my day to day living demands. Yes, I refer to it often.

Since I can never remember from one day to the next, the paper dully reads, in a very clear and concise way & in bold print: “Always drink UPSTREAM from the herd”. :>)

Ya’ll have a good day now! :>)

Allan

Allen,
You're not understanding what it is I'm trying to say. So here goes. You have your opinions, I have mine. That's all I am saying. I never meant to discredit your knowledge. I said I have agreed with most things you have ever posted on this site. But the insinuation that I'm a "know it all" is not neccessary. It seems as though my age is something that causes issues, and I don't know why. I was just trying to point out that I am a responsible person, living a responsible life. I'm an old iron fan, enjoy this forum, and posted my opinion about keeping my machinery in a shed as important to me. Another person was asking advice about machinery storage, and you gave your opinion, I gave mine.
I apologize to you if I have offended you in any way, and I mean that with sincerity. No "attitude" involved. I'm letting this go with this comment, as I don't know what more I can say. I hope you will accept my apology. Life is to short to carry something like this around.
I hope this ammends any feelings.
Thanks.

Hey Ol' Bud,

Let's stop a minute.

I'm not referring to you, I never was and I never will.

Your post just happened to remind me of an event that took place in my own youth is all.

Believe me when I tell you that what I put up here is not in any way referencing you nor is it referencing anyone else here. This junk just comes outta my head and I make it up as I go. :>)

And yes, I definitely respect your opinion just as I do every one else's.

Well, except for John………. He has those darned green tractors! Naw, just kiddin. :>)

Have a good one,

Allan

I got drunk once, in my much younger days, and woke up with a sheep. Everytime we went out after that, I refused to let her buy and get me drunk like that again.

Besides that Allan, you're forgetting the obvious. Ifn I did get up outa the chair and head for the door, I'd probably look for who was in the driveway or something, cause I'
da already forgot what it was I got up for.

So far, the "best friends" I've got aquainted with on the internet started off with an arguement. It either says something about my disposition, or the people I hang out with.

You don't have to be NUTS to hang out with me, I'll be glad to trane you....John

As for me I ended up getting my GED having dropped out of High School. I had to learn my trade thru the school of hard knocks and shocks. Just to pass my Administrator test it took 7 tries but I never gave up. Out of over 900 people taking it 3% past the test. I was allways getting allmost a good enought score. Then one day I passed it wow what a present got the results in the mail on October 6th my birthday!! Found nothing is easy to acheive if it is worth getting. Mark H.

hi allan, the only education I ever had was what people tell me and what I figure out for myself and the two don't always agree.
