I am looking at buying a Branson 2810 with a loader. Anything I need to know about these tractors that may change my mind?

Thanks,
Greg

I have a friend who is a dealer for Branson. I have met the people at their headquarters and it is a rapidly growing business, they must be doing something right. We have had NO big problems with them. No internal malfunctions. The design is good, fit and finish are great. They come out of a factory that makes a lot of John Deere tractors, so it is not a fly by night operation. The only common problem I have experienced is a little rain water gets into the hazard flasher switch and they decide to start flashing on the lot. Lots of silicone usually takes care of it after you dry it out.
I wouldnt consider the 2810 however. The 3510 costs very little more and 7 hp will come in handy.

Branson, Century, several others are made in Korea. Don't get them confused with their Japanese counterpart, Kubota.

All things considered, Mahindra, the Indian version of the IH is not a bad option, easier to get parts for it, available at IH, Case, NAPA, if you know what you are looking for, a little less expensive initially than Kubota.

Go to your search engine and type in Branson or Century tractors. Their website tells you all you need to know.

If I buy new or recently used, it will be Kubota. Older than 20 years, IH, JD, Case, MF, whatever is available, but American made.

Just my 2 cents.

UFO Man,
Thanks for the input. I know that they are built in Korea. I would like think it would be a step up from china (wont buy those).
My issue is in my area I can find all the old worn out stuff you want. I would like nothing better than to buy a US built machine but in the size I am looking at it cannot be done unless I want to buy one that needs a ton of work and is very old. I already have a resto machine I am working on, but need one I can put to work now. I also want some of the nice add-on's that the 20 year old machines do not offer.
It is too bad that we cannot buy a small US built machine anymore. Until something changes I guess it is the way it is going to be, but I will not let it keep me from getting the work done that needs to be done.

Greg

Rustyfarmall, common, tell us what “just about everything” is. I drove one of these and it felt good and was very well laid out. Looked to be fairly solid, felt solid, and has great access to things that would need tending to on a regular basis. I realize that it is not going to go 5000 hours, but short of spending 25,000 for a Deere or New Holland (30 H.P) or spending an added 10,000 on a machine that is older and taking up all winter to get it put back together and having a tractor that is worth half of what I have in it, what would you recommend?

Greg.
