I wanted to show off my freshly restored Ford 841 in honor of my father and brother.

I began this restoration after I broke the front axle support (took too much banging from front loader). I made it as far as tearing it apart and starting the cleaning and priming. Thanks to my father (retired) and brother (laid off at the time) it did finally get clean, painted and put back together; they did 90% of the work and, for their time, they only charged me a few meals of sausage, peppers and onions cooked down at the barn - and a couple beers of course! My brother has his own modern, extremely handy tractor; but I think he loves this 841 more than I do!

I bought this tractor about 1989. It had been restored once before, and was pretty much all there and in good shape, including Sherman combo transmission and power steering. It was painted blue and yellow when I got it.

In addition to being clean-up and painted "we" also replace the easy to get to gaskets, gas shut-off, spindle bushings, tie rod ends, brakes, wiring, hoses, fenders, seat, and probably some other things they did but I've forgotten. She is in great shape now.

I hope you all enjoy the picture. I owe a great thanks to my dad and brother!

By the way, this picture was taken at the Straw Hollow Antique Engine Club’s annual August show held in Boylston Mass. This year was their 25th anniversary. Anyone in OT land ever catch that show?

Best regards.
