I was up to Wilson"s, North of Fredricktown, Ohio and among some awsume stuff was an Early IH tractor with rear engine, and it articulated in the center, via a sector and pinion...!! Never saw one of these before...but then I never saw a "WaterlooBoy" when I was a kid, either...!! Sure would be good to see that old gal restored and in a parade..!!

Well, no...it has an "in-line" 4 cylinder engine at the rear..Long-wise, not cross-wise.. The rear wheels are larger steel than the front..no wood is there...maybe it had some at one time, but just all the frame is there, like it may have not had anything else... It "bends in the middle" via a sector gear, and pinion... He said it was an early IH design, and was prone to flip over...maybe that is why I have never seen one before, but really must be Rare..!!

Well, it is hard to tell...I suppose it is....

With no sheet metal on the engine, it would look about right.. I didn't realize it was driven from the end opposite the engine...!! There was no seat on it.. I was there to see other things, and didn't take it all in I guess..!! Would be a shame for it not to be restored..!!

From what you have described it sounds to me like a Moline Universal. Especially when you described the steering arraingement. Is THIS it? Craig
