Hi Guys.

I have two Farmall H tractors, if I turn the gas off at the bowl, the next time I turn the gas on, I have gas running out of the carburettors, what is
my problem. Thank you Ken.

You may have a leak in one of the carb floats. You'll want to replace the needle and seat valves, but be sure and shake the float before you put it back in. If you hear gas sloshing around, the float is bad and must be replaced.

Seems to happen to me IF I shut the gas off, and then shut the tractor down. If I shut the tractor off first, and then turn gas off, it doesn't happen. My feeling is that the float sticks open if the float bowl isn't full.

Hi Ken,

If it is actualy leaking from "inside" the carbureator, there's only one place it can be gettin' by and that is at the needle/seat valve or it's threads and/or gasket.

Hope this helps,

Allan

Hi Guys.
Thank you for the help, I should have said, the gas runs out of the drain hole at the bottle of the carburettor, on both tractors. Thank you Ken.
