Ive tried everything else to sell this truck but have had no luck, so i thought i would try here and maybe it would do better. i have a 1989 for ranger with a 2.3 L 4 banger in to and am asking 5 hundred dollars for it. i am located in michigan around the ohio line, right by US23. if interested just click on my name and give me a email. i can get pictures if you want. truck is not running but we have the problem traced down to a fuel problem. we think it has something to do with the fuel pump not getting electricity. thanks for reading and if you have any other suggestions to where i could post this for sale at besides off this site im open to them. thanks again and god bless

Ic could be a relay. I had the same truck with a similar problem. I found the relay box and smacked the relays then it would work ok. Or at least I think thats what happened. Mine had over 260,000 miles and still ran well when I got rid of it. What a great little truck!

The fuel pump relay on my '89 is between the air filter and fender, under the thing that says "Power Distribution Box". I had a similar problem with my '87 about a year ago. It wasn't the relay itself. The wire from the solenoid to the relay was completely corroded in two inside the insulation. The truck had 454,000 on it at the time. The original engine (2.9 V6) gave up at 461,000.

Uhhhhh, its been awhile, but under the hood, there should be a black box full of relays. One of them should operate the fuel pump. Maybe a Ford expert could chime in here! I have CRS!
