Just wanted to let everyone know that the farm bug bit me hard. I finally mowed, raked, and baled my very first ever 2 acre field. Got 45 bales of mixed grass for the sheep and goats. Got it all done with a '52 Super M, a New Idea model 30b mower, a 4 wheeled hay rake, and baled it all up without a single problem with my Ford 542 baler. The down side to all this is that I finished it up today...my 7th wedding anniversary. Some people have their priorities differently. Wooo-hooo.

Freud, Sounds to me like a good time for a meaningful "roll in the hay". Congrats, both on the 7 yrs of bliss, and the successful hay baling.

Did you say a Ford 542 baler? You need to join the Ford Brand Balers Association....a loose affiliation of Ford baler owners/operators (current membership = 6). They're good folks and have helped a ton in getting my 542 resurrected from abandoned derelict to functioning baler.

Email me if you wanna join! (no dues)

YOU might end up eating that hay. Happy anniversary! Good luck with your "farming career". John
