Hello,
I hope that someone from this forum could answer some questions for me. I am a Stationary Engine and Vintage Car person and have very little knowledge of Vintage Tractors even though I own one. The club I belong to is holding a quiz and my research of this website has answered 10 of the questions for me. There are however 4 more questions I cant find answers to anywhere. Perhaps you could help me.
#1 Which make and model tractor first introduced the P.T.O?
#2 Which tractor company was first to offer air filled tires? #3 NAME the colour Allis Chalmers introduced on their tractors in 1929.
#4 Name the engineer who designed the Fordson "F".
(was it Henry himself?)
Thanks in anticipation.
Rob.

Gentlemen,
Thank you all for answering my questions. After a little more searching I found the answer to #4.... it's Eugene Farkas, Henry Ford's chief designer of the time. Once again thank you for your input.
Rob.

Although there were earlier versions of a "live" PTO, the first mass-produced tractor with a fully enclosed live PTO system was the 1946 Cockshutt 30, made in Canada too.

I believe International was first for pto in US and Allis Chalmers was first with balloon tires. Can`t help with the other two. Could even be wrong on these. If I am someone will let us know.
