Here's a picture (if it works) of an Allis B with the spoked front wheels I was talking about. I've seen them on a few other B's, and would like to find out what they are.

Combines From the 40's & 50's had wheels like that, I believe that they have been modified,as you will notice the rear wheels are solid . I can't ever recall seeing an Allis B with spoke wheels like that in Ala.

I have a picture on a calendar of a war time B on full steel wheels. It was common during WWII for tractors to be sold on steel because rubber was in short supply and needed by the military. That is probably how these wheels started life.

It's hard to see but it looks like the spokes are non factory welded to the rims looking like they were steel wheels cut down to weld on a rim for rubber tires.
