I put a motor out of a 6030 in to a 5020, but the water pump is different so I can"t put the fan on. If I use an electric fan will it keep up? This is just a pulling tractor now, no more field work.

Not according to my parts book info. A 6030 with the 6531D engine (not turboed and aftercooled - not very common) would use the same pump as the 5020, but the 6531A engine uses a different part number - looks quite a bit different in the pics.
6531D pump - AR46972. 6531A pump - AR53547. They use different bearings, impellers and so forth. Plus, if he's just sticking to pulling, running an electric fan will free up 10-15 horsepower that would be required to drive the regular fan.

If you get one of those big electric fans that are available now days it should keep up for short periods of time. If the engine is cool to start with, there's a lot of cast-iron and coolant there to heat up, so I'll bet you'll be alright. The fact that you're circulating coolant is the main thing, as the radiator will exchange some heat even with no airflow through it. I'd be willing to try it if it were mine.
