Anybody know off hand the approx weight of a 1947 John Deere B with filled rear tires?

And the weight of a 1956 Ford 650 with un-filled tires?

I'm assuming the JD will weigh a bit more than the ford. I have to trailer both and am wondering if I will have trouble hauling them on my 2 axle 16' trailer with brakes, pulled by my Chevy 1/2 ton pickup. The trailer axles are rated at 3500# each, but I suspect the frame would give way before that.

My 1/2 ton GMC pulls my 640 WITH filled tires and 6.5' disc OR a 6' pulverizer on my 16' utility trailer just fine. It also has pulled an Oliver Super 55 with filled tires and the same pulverizer as well.

I do recommend having brakes on your trailer.

Ok, that is good info. I do have trailer brakes- 1 axle anyway and they work fine.

I only have about 15 miles to go with both machines and especially with the JD, I figure I'll go super early in the morning so I cna go slow and not annoy people too much.

Thanks

If you have any doubts about it, play it safe and haul one at a time. Make two trips, it is only 15 miles. Is this a one time event or will you be making a regular trip? Ed
