all, Heres my big problem, I have a old I;m not sure exactly what year b-275 that I have been working on for a friend of mine. The problem is that it is very hard starting and once it is running it runns good for about 10 minuetes and then it reves up a little and then dies out. then it won't start for a while, sometimes a real long while, I cleaned the sediment trap and bleaded the air out of the injection pump, fuel filter and off the injectors. but none of those seamed to work. got any ideas,

I agree. You are lacking fuel and it is probably caused by some sort of blockage that allows the fuel to seep through eventually. A diesel that is running out of fuel will often rev up a bit as it leans out just before it runs out of fuel. I find it a little strange that being a diesel it will restart after a while without bleeding which would lead me to believe that the problem is somewhat close or in the pump. Do these pumps have an internal screen perhaps where the line goes into the pump? When you said it would not start for a while I understood you did not necessarily have to bleed the pump but would restart after sitting for a long while.
Why not try running the tractor until it dies out, then remove the line at the pump and see if fuel runs freely out of the supply line. When there is a problem whether it is liquid or electrical it is good to be methodic in tracing the problem. Work from the point at which you have no electricity or fuel for example and test along the line to the point at which the supply is good.

I agree, it sounds like it has a fuel problem.

Have you checked to see if there's something in the tank that is covering the inlet?? A leaf perhaps??? That happened to one of mine once.

Is the vent in fuel cap plugged???

Is it Sucking air from someplace??

Robert

Fuel pump may be sucking air. Had same problem with a Kubota. Put on a clear plastic line to watch for air bubbles. Found a line with a pin hole. Wouldn't leak diesel but would let air in. If the glow plugs are not working these model will be hard starting
