I had my dad's 16' gooseneck trailer parked at the Red Power Roundup over the weekend and last night it was gone. Someone that organized the fool thing decided to put a big tent right where the trailer was parked. Drove around the grounds last night looking for it, called the Old Threshers, they didn't have any idea, so I filed a police report. Anyone that has tractors at the show better log chain them to the ground, and their trailers as well. For all I know, someone is missing a tractor or two there, and my dad's trailer is probably under them. They have that place buttoned up tighter than a presidential debate, and a gooseneck trailer just walked right off the grounds. Watchout guys, never know what'll dissapear these days.

On that same note, if you have a winch on the trailer, make sure you weld the attaching bolt heads to the trailer, the winches like to dissappear overnight also.

Hey you have to give the color, brand and serial# and some more things to identify. You say over the weekend what day did you park and where i will be there tomorrow and know some of the people running the grounds and will ask around.

Maybe someone borrowed it and it will show up. Stranger things have happened. Anyway i'll be there if things hold together 600 mile drive.

Aaron,

I meant to ask you this morning--Do you have any photos of the trailer? If so, you could post them here for everyone to see. Never know--someone might see it on the road somewhere--the thief may not be as smart as he thinks. Also do you have the tag number and any other identifying info that would flag it running down the road?

That's the reason I put a tow lock on one I leave parked when away from home. Won't stop a determined thief, but will make it dificult enough they may decide to look elsewhere.
