Do I want "position control" (position control lever vertical) or "constant draft control" (position control lever horizontal) when bush hogging ?

You want psition control because you want to hold the "hog" in a fixed position relative to the tractor.

You want the load and depth selector in the depth or position selection. When bush-hogging you really SHOULD NOT encounter any draft. How big a bush-hog do you have and what do you charge?

Thanks Jeff. Moved here (Alachua, Florida) in February, so now have 7 acres and a Ford 8N tractor plus 60" Woods Brush Bull to mow it with. Not sure how it's SUPPOSED to behave, so don't know if what it's doing is right or wrong.

Draft mode is only for heavy pull loads, pretty much only plowing with a mounted plow.
