Alemite grease gun seal question

I have a Bassick alemite grease gun that was on a 20-35 Rumley Oilpul tractor I purchased. The seal on the plunger is completely gone. Can anyone tell me what the seal was, and where I can obtain one, or how to make one? There doesn't appear to be enough room for a well cylinder leather to fit between the two disks at the bottom of the plunger. Thanks for any help you can give.

There are cups in a sprayer repair kit. If you can get a salesman to check the diameters, you might luck out.

Most likely it was made of leather, cut up those old boots you have been meaning to throw out, and make one.
