I seen a movie a long while ago, and want to watch it again but don't know the name.

The jist of the movie is its in the desert 1930-50 ? , a groups of guys are flying over the desert and their plan crashes, so they build a small plane from the crashed big one to get out of the desert.

Any one seen this one and know the title ???

If that is the one where a German engineer figures out how to make a little plane out of the wing and one guy goes native and stays to become leader of a pack of laughing hienna's the the name would be "Flight of the Phoenix." One of my favorites too.

The German engineer that you're referring to was a designer of model airplanes and when the rest of the bunch found about that...they almost didn't go along with him. Fred OH

I think in that film, they got the whole plane to fly using shotgun shells to start the engine(s).
But I could be wrong.....
