WOW. From all the replies to this I learned a lot. I have only been in one of these stores in Brownwood, Tx several years ago. I bought a pistol grip grease gun, have had good service from it and had not found one anywhere else. Also have seen a lot of references to these stores on these boards and I thought they would have a better reputation than what has been expressed. Live and learn.

Here in Indiana we are getting alot of Rural King stores. About the same thing as TSC. They are going into all the closed K-Mart stores

The one in my area is located in what used to be a Wal-Mart, until Wal-Mart opened a super center.
I'm pretty sure the employees at the TSC are Wal-Mart employees who haven't realized that it (Wal-Mart) moved.
They don't know squat about what they're selling, don't care if you ever buy anything, and scatter like a covey of quail if they THINK you're going to ask them a question....
I hope your new store is better....

Robert are you talking about the store in prairie. When is it to open? I seen it the other day I was up that way. Used to be one in richland center. The carried nothing in my opion.

I agree with the above posts about quality and knoledgable help...but they are a very handy store and I shop there alot. I probably wouldn't buy too many important parts or implements there but the regular stuff you need is usually available. They clearly cater to the "life style" farmer.

don't expect a lot of quality merchandise or "expert" help from them. most of their products seem to be second rate at best. most of their "expert" help seem to know their name and that's about it.

Logan,

I am located in central TX, and have been to several TSC's. They are okay, but just like a lot of stores, they try to carry a little of everything, but often the everything is not what you need at the time.

Oh and if they are anything like the ones in central TX, good luck finding a lot of experienced help when you need it.
