Can a lift arm broken in half be welded or should it be thrown away?

Yes, I agree with Chaney. Take it to someone who knows his business. But by the time you pay a shop you may not come out a lot cheaper. I have welded new ends on mine as well as repaired broken ones. So good, so far. :)

Stock answer: Can I weld i? is a question often asked. The answer is yes-but. You broke the original so whats to keep you from breaking the welded one? If you know what broke it and will not do that again, have at it. Lift arm, probably. You can reinforce it and it might not look too good but will work.

I have seen new ends welded on them to use for hook up- don't see why you couldn't get it welded. Get someone that welds for a living or a shop to do it. My 2 cents worth. How did you break it?
