Yesterday I unloaded a Kubota 225 that came from a sale 3 weeks ago. This afternoon I checked fluids and went for a test drive;everything was great till I went to hook it ti a finish mower. NO reverse!! It made a "used to the last drop" grinding noise. Is there a source of used parts or must I bite the big one for new? open to repair suggestions or use for the 22 hp diesel.

The parts for a Kubota are fairly reasonable. It doesn't make much sense to tear the trans down and put in used gears. You probably need the reverse slider, and reverse idler and some gaskets. Parts should run around $300.

Where are you finding reasonable priced Kubota parts????

EVERYTHING I have ever got for my '78 L225F has been OUTRAGEOUS! And USED PARTS?
I need to find out where you find them.

Here's just 1 Example:
My Main Input Shaft ("shaft" being the key word here) in my tranny has a gear stripped. New "kit" (won't sell just the "shaft") to fix it is $1400.00! Now bear in mind that a new Input Shaft for my Ford 4000 is $129.95!

I found a place in Kentucky that has a "lot" of Kubota parts used. Man I talked to said he'd be rich & retired if he had a warehouse of used Kubota parts - especially tranny parts!

I use my Kubota without 1/5 gear and 540 rpm PTO!

Best luck I have had is with Carver Equipment in North Carolina.

it's only 1059 at tractorsmart, i know that is still high but a lot of these dealers are really gouging parts. carvers sale prices on wsm and filters is way more than tractorsmarts price and they don't have sales.
