I have a 1950 TO30 that I use mainly for plowing, discing, & bush hogging. The problem I have when lifting the implements going up a hill is that the front end comes off the ground. Is there such a thing as weights for the front of this tractor, or does someone have a design to make such weights? Thanks, Gary Helmstetter, New Windsor, Maryland

You have a couple of choices. You can install front wheel weights, fabricate a bracket to hold suitcase weights, but it has to be set foward enough to open the hood,or if your tractor has a bumper on the front, you can bolt weights to it.You can call Nolt's Equipment in Newville Pa.(outside of Carlisle) 717-776-6242 They are a Massey salvage yard and may have the wheel weights,or a weight bracket or something you can use.

Thanks for the help Ray & Brokenwrench. I think I will try to find a set of wheel weights first and if not maybe I'll try some creativity

Gary, You will be much better off with wheel weights, they do not put any additional stress on the front end as the weight is directly on the wheel. The original Harry Ferguson front wheel weights come in two pieces and fit inside the rims. The only drawback to them is they must be removed before the front wheels can be removed to repack the wheel bearings or fix a flat. I have a set on my TO30 and they do an excellent job of keeping the front on the ground when using heavy impliments.
