I have called about a Scag ST17KA mower. It says it has a front 60" mower deck. Is this the type that has a seat over a single rear caster? Do you steer it like a ZTR (levers)?

I'm sure if the guy calls back he'll answer these questions.

He says it was running when parked (X years ago) and is asking $175.

I wonder how hard these are to work on and how well they hold up. I could really use a big mower like this on our farm.

The Skag mower I am familiar with (I don't recall the model) was hydrostatic and had the drive wheels in back. The casters were out front ahead of the deck. It was zero radius steering with levers. Therre were three blades with side discharge. The engine was a two cyl. Kohler and had plenty power. Happy mowing. Ed
