Got a early-mid 40's B, and when i fully raise the left hand lever to pick up the 3 pt hitch, the bottom hydraulic plug-in on the right side blows completely out! If i raise the lever slowly, never going to all the way up, i'm fine. If I go fully up, it blows out hard and fast, spraying fluid. Any idea what might be wrong? Thanks so much!

sounds like you're missing the shear washer. This fits in a slot on the coupling plug to hold the plug in when under pressure.
Take off the one that works OK, being careful to put a large pan underneath, because that shear washer will fall out and is difficult to find.

Then take apart the one that fails and see if the parts are identical. Or if there is a washer in the working one and not in the failing one.

I don't want Hugh, N.C., Farmallkid or any of the other red guys here to see this, but I had a green one once, and it seems to me like there was a small lock type plate that turned over a small pin that fell into a notch in your plug to keep it in. Maybe this plate, pin, lock mechanism has bent, fallen off, or some other way become incapacitated in keeping the plugs in. Just a thought about where to start looking, Harley
