Greetings!
I have a Massey Ferguson 180 gas tractor and a Cub Cadet 127 that both have the same problem. When I run them and they get up to operating temperature in hot weather they start to choke out and stutter. They run fine until hot and then they stutter and eventually stop running. What's the problem?

Strange that you have this problem on two tractors at the same time. The only things in common between the two tractors is heat and gasoline.

Most likely there is a temperature sensitive condensor or coil causing the ignition to cutout. Less likely is a fuel line getting too hot and causing fuel vapors to flood engine. I am not sure, but a clogged airfilter might cause the engines to run rich when hot -- do you have dirt daubers around your place?

Are you working the tractors at the time or are they just idling?

Yes, they are working, The MF180 running a 10' bush hog and the Cub working a 42" mower.

Most likely a bad coil
