Alot of older IH tractors use that filter. I have used alot of different band name filters in alot of cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles and everything in between. I have never had an engine failure due to the oil filter. None of them are any good if you only change them once every 10 years.

Go to the link, click on the Napa part number for description and then click on "all applications".

You can do the Fram C135 part number cross-ref and application look up the same way at Baldwin, Fleetgaurd, and other filter sites.

The Fram filter site does not seem to have this feature.

If it's using a Fram, it's one you don't want to last very long!

Dave, I normally use Baldwin. Fram is, in all seriousness, something I'd stay away from. Ask any car enthusiast about Fram..... Stan

Just checked out that web site AJ posted very interesting, I guess that’s way I lurk around here. Learn something new every day!
I guess I never gave it much thought. Well, thanks again, I learned the Fram filter is something I will be staying away from.

I used to work for a place that was a wix distributer, then we got bought out by a company that was a baldwin distributer both good filters. When talking to the company reps. I learned that on some filters, mainly small sales volume items it is standard practice to buy these off of another manufacture and have your label put on. So you really never know which ones are made by whom. Also in the process of switching my own personal filters over to Baldwin numbers and looking at the filters on a certain number of engine oil filter it had metal shavings in it where the threads were cut.Needless to say that shut me down from knowingly buying baldwin filters. Probabaly an isolated inceident and it my have been one of those outsourced numbers and I did show them to the rep. but I can't help not likeing what I saw.
