I wanted it so bad. Few weeks ago, there was a NH 3930 4x4 on auction. I wrote the seller and he gave me his reserve. I bid, but the aution never went to reserve price. I finally came home 10 minutes prior to auction end, but could not bid... So I wrote the seller, said I'd give reserve. Fine. My story begins.
I asked to speak to someone: and was told I could send western union funds or transfer to a bank, but only by email to seller. After about four emails, seller said he was deaf. This was a first for me. I pursued, and finally got a call from a service for deaf. Interpretor and him typing on other end. It was wierd, and I got little said. As a buyer I am frustrated. I kept asking to "speak to someone where tractor is", since seller was in N-midwest and tractor located in west. Wrote I could not speak to his brother where tractor is. Could I fly to west and see tractor? No, tractor would be shipped (free)... I must say, if it was real, this was a fantastic deal, Heck, I'd have flown to west and looked at tractor with CASH, wire or anything for that price. As it was, I said I'd pass on the deal, cause there were things that didn't seem right, like email names that had one given name that showed, but sellers name was very different. The fact I am to blindly send money to someone, with no human contact, just typing into interspace. Fact that the shipping company the man said indicated they shipped only up to 150lbs. He assured me they could ship it. It didn't seem right.

Oh, well, I either missed out on a great deal, or I avoided a scam or bad deal. I do not really know which.

Wayne

Wayne,

Over 90% of the traffic through TDD relay operators today is actually generated by SCAMMERS. Do not under any circumstances do business with someone via a relay operator unless you personally know them. This is a big problem that the phone companies are only just now trying to stop. Because relays can now be accessed via the net, scammers are using relays to pose as legitimate buyers and sellers. Operators are bound by law to accurately relay conversations, even though they know that the "deaf" person is actually an overseas scammer.

Peew!!!! I can smell that one clear to the middle of the mitten. Wayne, when your instincts are so strong that you question whether its a scam or the deal of the century, always err on the side of caution. In this case, there's no question. It isn't the deal of the century.

You avoided a scam, the reason they didn't want you to look at the tractor was because the tractor did not exist.

I received pictures of the tractor. Mint, with 915 6' Ford Bushhog, plus the tractor had a quick attach loader. Exist?

The one in the picture was real. I never became sure nor not whether it belonged to the seller or not.

They took the pic off of ebay or one of the pictures here on this site or some other tractor site.

This was a scam, 100%. Haven't you seen the several dozen messages go by here about the scammers using the deaf service in their scams???? That pops up every week or so here.

You'da been a big loser on this. There never was a tractor. Never.

Wayne, if you hunt far enough, you will find "that picture" some where else where they stole it. They use a good picture of some one else's item.
Be Dxxx glad you did not bite.

Is this the same NH 3930 that is on YT Mag AUCTION site for FARM tractors?

Reads like the same one.

Yes, that is the same tractor.

Looks like it is well below reserve price, ($501.00), but that is the same ad for a NH 3930 4x4 with loader and Ford 971 bushhog.

Got the adriano@ email address, emails will come back with name Ricky Spencer, and the same guy who is deaf who owns it has real name of Corrado Tedeschi of Chicago.

I offered to fly to LV and look at tractor, but that was not OK. I said no. Pass.
