How do I polarize a new Delco-Remy Voltage Regulator on a Massey 65 gas tractor? I can't find it in any of my manuals
Thank you
Don

On a Delco generator you momentarily jumper the GEN or A terminal to the BAT terminal on the regulator.
Buy the way, what you are polarizing is the generator, not the regulator. What happens is that by disturbing the generator or it's wiring,as in changing a regulator, the generator can lose the tiny magnetic field stored in it's iron pole shoes. This tiny bit of residual magnetic field is what tells the generator to charge the correct polarity(be it pos or neg ground). When you polorize the GENERATOR after working on the electrical system,it makes sure the iron pole shoes have the correct magnetic polarity to make the generator charge the correct electrical polarity for your machine.
