I am considering buying a White 2-75. The hydraulics, both 3 point and loader, work only intermittently. The seller is a used equip. dealer who says he hasn't got time to look at it and has no idea if its a simple fix or not. I'm a good mechanic but don't have a manual and I'm just wondering what the problem might be so I can decide to buy it or not. Any one have experience with these? Any ideas of simple things to try or look for?

Are these known to be good, bad or inbetween?

Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks, Al.

Actually they are an Iseki made in Japan for White. Iseki no longer manufacturers tractors that large.

I would steer clear of it. I bought one 2 years ago because it was cheap horsepower. The front rear went out at 850 hours and it took the dealer 3 months to get parts to fix it, when I got it back the hydraulics started acting up at 900 hrs. I traded it off,and wouldn't take another one if it was free.

Made in Canada it says. Dealer is a small time Belarus, muddy driveway, dirty shop, shaggy dogs in the office type. He may know more than he is telling or may not know much at all. He could not find the hyd. pump on it when I asked. It was in plain view on the side of the engine near the front. Hyd filter doesn't look like it has been changed in a long time.

I could get lucky or I could get stuck. His price is low but not low enough to take a chance. Yet.

Any more help greatly appreciated.

Saw one of these at a local mechanic's shop where he said he could not get parts for the FWD. It's too new for me to 100% accept that but I pass it along. I do know the tractor is foreign (Italy I think) made.

If it was working, the price would be higher. When the DEALER has no time to fix something, and has no knowledge of it's difficulty, he knows more than he's telling you. He's selling it as-is, right? I'd get outside advice before offering a price- or walk.
