if it was my engine i would completly disisemble. it may not be the rings the bearings may be stuck too. you could try any thing as far as wd-40, pb blaster or anytrhing else they may work but i am sure if it has been setting anytime moisture has gotin in. well good luck.tractor.

Kerosene,Pb Blaster,Kroil, I think they all work .I would pull the plugs and let set. Add some more every couple days. I would then try to turn it in about 2 weeks.Take your time so not to break anything. It might be worth it to diconnect the vavle train.

Loosen off the valve train or make certain there are no valves stuck. Been a few busted parts when the bottom end finally turned but the valves/guides where still seized together.

If you want to free it up pour the cylinders full of vinegar will free it up and unstick the rings. My uncle tried it and it does work couple of weeks and it is done good as new if not pitted to bad.

I will share my secret also. Save the money that you are going to use on special elixzers.
Pull the head and apply a block of wood and a 10 lb sledge to each cylinder. Good luck.

I use turpentine done it with a lot of engines and so far all have broke free. I put tranny fluid or PB in the cylinders fist then in a few days put turpentine (old style) and most have come free in an hour or 2 after the turpentine. I have a JD-B that was locked up for more the 15 years from sitting I had oil in the cylinders as soon as I found it locked up and then when I got the money to fix it I filled the cylinders and 2 hours later it was free.

I've used Marvel Mystery oil. Filled cylinder up and let site for 2 weeks then tried to turn the flywheel ( with plugs out ) over with wrench and it finely brake loose. When you plan on starting it up use this link below to help.

Rod I have the same ideas as you, I believe in that Marvel Mystery oil, you can also jack the back wheels off the ground, put tractor in gear. and gently rock the wheels.

Yes that will work to or you can put it in gear and slowly pulling it on grass of coarse. But there is some danger of bending a rod or some thing.

PB Blaster had my W-9 engine free in 2 weeks time. Took a full can and used the whole thing on 4 cylinders. Came loose real easy in 2 weeks time.

I hear Kroil is supposed to be real good too, just can't find it around here...

Kroil is real good stuff. I don't think they have distributors. You get it mail order directly from Kano Labs www.kanolabs.com
