my uncle has a new idea uni-system 402. it runs fine, but i want to tune it up. does anyone know any way to get at the far side spark plugs? they seem impossible to get at. also, if anyone knows anyone who would like to buy this uni-system with a john deere 444 (four row) head on it, let me know. around here (NW Iowa) they are not wanted, but i know some places there is a market for these things
thanks

Andy,
I think you mean a 702. Just lay on top of the engine compartment and use a long extension. Be sure to use a blow gun and clean out around them first. I spent many years using the uni's, bought an axial flow a few years back. It was getting too hard to get parts for the uni's. The last one I saw sell brought $175.00, and it worked! I just finished cutting my last power unit, cornhead, and chopper up for scrap. With scrap iron going for $120 a ton, I came out pretty good.
