I'm going to a auction that has several loaders on it and would like to know how to make sure I get the right one to fit my tractor. I have just bought an Oliver 1800 that had a loader on it before but was sold seperate from the tractor.

What do I need to measure on the tractor? How do I know if the arms on the loader are long enough or will that not matter ? I'm new to all the farming things but it is great to get away from the stress of work and as my wife calls it play with my new toys. Thanks Jeff

Find out from the seller if the loader came off of your model tractor- otherwise you need different mounting brackets and that might get spendy. Machine shops can custom fabricate some, but it's best to get a loader from the same model or series. Dealers can advise you on series compatibility.
